Why won't most link building agencies work with cannabis brands?

Two reasons: compliance concerns and lack of cannabis-friendly publisher relationships. Most agencies do not have editors in their network who accept cannabis content, and they do not want to do the harder, slower work of building those relationships. Outreach Monks has been doing cannabis outreach since launching in 2017 — it is not a new experiment.

Do you work with dispensaries and THC brands, not just CBD?

Yes — CBD ecommerce, dispensaries, vaping brands, cannabis media, and information sites. Outreach Monks has active clients in the USA, Canada, and Netherlands — different regulatory environments, same outreach process adapted per market.

How fast do cannabis backlinks go live?

Most placements go live within 2 weeks. Cannabis outreach takes more attempts than mainstream niches — editors are selective about the brands they will associate with. Outreach Monks does not rush placements onto sites that could hurt rather than help a campaign.

What if a cannabis backlink is removed?

It is replaced free within 6 months — same DR range, same niche relevance. No renegotiation, no extra cost, no paperwork. Internal data shows over 90% of placements remain live beyond 12 months even in restricted niches.

Do you use PBNs for cannabis link building?

Never. PBNs are especially risky in restricted niches — Google targets them harder and cannabis sites have fewer recovery options when penalised. Every link placed by Outreach Monks is on a genuine editorial site with real organic traffic. That is the only durable strategy in this space.

Do you offer white-label cannabis link building for agencies?

Yes. Unbranded Google Sheet reports, agency pricing from 10 or more links per month, custom bulk discount above 50 per month, and a dedicated account manager. Client agencies see their own brand only — Outreach Monks operates entirely behind the scenes.

Do you handle the compliance and legal side of cannabis content?

Yes. In-house writers are familiar with FDA, Health Canada, and EU cannabis content rules and adjust claims accordingly so submissions do not bounce on legal grounds. Any claims that could create issues with a publisher are flagged before submission.

Can I see the cannabis publisher sites before you pitch?

Yes. The prospective domain list is shared before outreach begins. Clients can approve, reject, or swap any domain — no pitches are sent without sign-off. No surprises after the fact.
