What We Did

We started small on purpose. Five links in the first two months to test niche relevance and see which sites sent real signals. Once we saw traction, we scaled to 10 links/month, then moved to a consistent monthly campaign targeting lifestyle, fashion, and culture sites with DR 30-70.

As of mid-2025, we’re still running: 30 links a month, same standards as day one.

One rule throughout: no link went live unless it was on a site a real fashion reader would actually visit. High DR means nothing if the audience is wrong.

Case Study 2: Outreach Monks — DR 0 to 74 (Our Own Journey)

Niche: SEO / Link Building Duration: February 2019 to June 2025

We launched Outreach Monks in 2019 with no DR, no traffic, no reputation. We were trying to rank for keywords like “link building agency” and “guest posting services” against Moz, HubSpot, and Ahrefs. Keyword difficulties of 70-90%.

We did exactly what we do for clients: manual outreach, guest posts on DR 70-90 SaaS and tech sites, link insertions on established content, regular blog updates, and cutting posts that stopped performing.

Medical is a YMYL niche. Google holds these pages to a higher trust standard. One wrong placement on a low-quality health blog or a site with no real editorial standards can hurt more than help.

We vetted every placement for health, wellness, or lifestyle authority. No exceptions.

Niche: Vaping / Smoking products (restricted) Campaign Start: January 2021

Mind Vapes

Mind Vapes sells vapes, rolling papers, and dab rigs. Google Ads and Meta both blocked them, so organic wasn’t just one channel. It was the only channel.

Starting at roughly 100 monthly visitors and DR 0, with most sites unwilling to link to a vape retailer, we built a natural link profile slowly, from low DR to high DR, never spiking, never using sites that existed only to sell links. 24 months of consistent work.

SoMuchPoker is the leading poker news platform in Asia-Pacific. Founded in 2014, covering live tournaments, player interviews, and strategy content for the Asian market.

They came to us already established at DR 48 with nearly 4,000 monthly visitors. At that level, gains are harder to come by. The iGaming niche makes it harder still: most sites won’t touch gambling content, which shrinks the outreach pool considerably.
